Nu-Lite Electrical Wholesalers, New Orleans’ largest independent electrical distributor, recently launched its “Energizing New Orleans” program, aimed at helping local charities and institutions revive the city of New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The program teams the 56-year-old locally owned distributor with key manufacturers to donate a percentage of sales to a fund that will aid local charities and institutions.
“We have partnered with select manufacturers for our Energizing New Orleans program to aid local New Orleans charities and institutions, one of which is New Orleans’ Children Hospital,” said Gary Corales, Nu-Lite vice president. “Nu-Lite is proud to be part of this program that will help our city and our citizens recover and rebuild from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.”
The vendors currently participating in the promotion are: Square D Co., Encore Wire, Western Tube and Conduit, Philips Lighting, Leviton, Ideal Industries, FCI Burndy, Bridgeport Fittings, EGS, Advance Transformer, Ferraz Shawmut and Lutron Electronics.
Customers of Nu-Lite will contribute through their purchase from participating manufacturers. All customer purchases from participating manufacturers through the remainder of the year qualify in the program.
Donations will be accumulated throughout the Energizing New Orleans program and donated to local charities and institutions in the names of Nu-Lite’s customers and participating suppliers.
The donations can then be used by the charities and institutions for needed supplies and materials, saving them money while enabling them to refurbish their organizations.
