Technical Consumer Products Inc., an Aurora, Ohio-based manufacturer, has recalled 158,000 three-way compact fluorescent light bulbs that can pose a burn hazard to consumers through overheating and sparking.
The manufacturer has received 16 reports of overheating bulbs, but so far, no injuries have been reported. The recalled bulbs have the following item numbers, which can be found on the bulb’s base and the back of the package — 283-924, 575-717, and 69032. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warns consumers to stop using the products immediately and call (800) 397-2647 for a free replacement or a gift card.
