Madison Electric Products (Cleveland): After 46 years in the electrical industry, Bob Starr has retired. A long-time owner of Madison Electric Products and a marathoner who has traveled the world in search of the perfect 26.2 mile race, Starr is credited with establishing the company’s solid foundation and positioning it for continued growth, even during this challenging economy. Madison Electric Products also announced two new hires: Kirk Pace, who will be the warehouse operations manager, and Jackie Nelson, creative services manager. Since 2000, Pace has managed logistics and operations teams, streamlining processes, improving efficiencies and cutting costs. Nelson will provide creative direction, production and design support for the company’s branding, print and online materials.
Legrand (West Hartford, Conn.):Scott Bausch is now regional V.P. of sales for the Northeast in Legrand’s Electrical Wiring Systems Division. In his new role Bausch will lead the company’s sales teams for electrical wiring products in New England and the northeastern United States. Bausch joined Legrand/Pass & Seymour in 2004 as a product line manager, and he most recently served as the marketing manager for commercial and industrial products and the director of product marketing. He earned his BA from St. John Fisher College and his MBA from Franklin University.
Staco Energy Products Co. (Dayton, Ohio):Jim Hall has joined the company as marketing manager and will be responsible for all strategic and tactical marketing, with primary responsibility for development of a brand and communication strategy for power quality and UPS products. Prior to joining Staco, Hall served as strategic manager for IT markets for Liebert, Emerson Network Power. A graduate of GE’s Manufacturing and Raytheon’s Advanced Management Programs, he holds a B.S. from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from the University of Illinois.
Fromm Electric Supply of Reading (Reading, Pa.):Steve Peek has rejoined the company’s Commercial Construction team as a lighting specialist. He returns to Fromm with more than 35 years of experience in the electrical industry. The company says Peek is recognized as one of eastern Pennsylvania’s top distributor professionals in design-build projects, energy-efficient technologies and commercial lighting and control systems.
SolaHD (Rosemont, Ill.):Gina Delgado was appointed international customer service rep. Her primary role will be to provide customer service to SolaHD distributors in Mexico and the Latin American regions. Delgado comes to SolaHD from Lamin-Art where she held the position of international customer service inside sales representative for 10 years.
Silent Knight/Honeywell (Northford, Conn.):Jonathan Beach is the company’s new regional sales manager for the U.S. Northwest territory. Beach will provide sales support to Silent Knight’s Farenhyt Engineered Systems distributors and security equipment distributors throughout Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Prior to joining Silent Knight, Beach performed central station monitoring and fire-alarm service and installation work. Most recently, Beach was the sales and project management lead for the fire-alarm and new construction markets for Allied Fire and Security, an integrator in Spokane, Wash.
Atlanta Light Bulbs (Atlanta): This lighting specialist recently promoted three employees. Tresa Jones has been promoted to distributor counter supervisor; Marcus Tipton is now customer service rep at the sales counter and showroom; and Steven Jackson was promoted to customer service rep in the national sales department.
Connexion (Buffalo Grove, Ill.):Brian Earl is now V.P., electrical sales and general manager. In his dual role he will be responsible for growing revenues and margins while expanding into new markets and geographies. Earl began his career nearly 30 years ago at WESCO and has had sales leadership roles at Bryant, Leviton, and most recently as V.P. of distribution sales at Actuant.
