Howard Industries Inc., Laurel, Miss., has merged its ballast and lighting fixture divisions into one Howard Lighting Products.
The driving force behind this merger is to provide customers with a one-stop-shop for satisfying all of their lighting product needs, the company said. In addition, customers will now be able to purchase both ballasts and lighting products on the same purchase order, at the same time, and via their preferred ordering process: telephone, fax, or an authorized agent.
In a separate announcement, Howard Industries’ Lighting Products Division also said that it would be expanding its portfolio of lighting fixtures and ballast products to include HID lamps by May 2006. The company also announced plans for further expansion that will include par halogen, halogen, MR16, compact fluorescents, linear fluorescents, and incandescent lamps at a later date.
"Our customers and their needs are critical to us," said Derral Ward, Howard Lighting Products’ vice president of sales, "and by implementing this change we are better equipped to respond to these needs while enriching our product offerings."
