August EPI Increases 0.4 Percent

Electrical Marketing’s Electrical Price Index for August posted an increase of 0.4% over July and is up 2.8% over August 2009

Electrical Marketing’s Electrical Price Index for August posted an increase of 0.4% over July and is up 2.8% over August 2009. Product categories that increased by more than one percent from July to August were building wire (+1.8%) and residential lighting (+1.1%). Power cable showed the biggest increase year-over-year at 17.5%, followed by building wire at 8.7%.
