Osram Sylvania, Danvers, Mass., was recognized with Affiliated Distributor’s Supplier of the Year award in the Electrical Supply Division at its North American annual meeting in Nashville, Tenn., on Sept. 16. Affiliated Distributors is the largest distribution network in North America, comprised of over 350 independent distributor companies with over 5,000 locations doing over $18 billion in sales. To be an A-D Supplier of the Year, a marketing partner must demonstrate leadership in A-D program participation, financial support, marketing focus and overall sales performance within one of A-D’s four divisions. Border States Electric Supply, Fargo, N.D., won A-D’s 2002-2003 ‘Excellence in Marketing’ distinction for electrical distributors. Border States, which had $310.2 million in 2002 sales and was the 16th largest distributor in the United States, according to Electrical Wholesaling’s Top 200 listing, was recognized for execution of marketing strategies, superior contributions to network meetings and participation in best-practice business exchanges.
