EPI Index for May Increases 0.1 Percent

Compared to recent months, May appears to have been rather quiet, with the switchgear category (-1.0%)being the only product area registering a change of more than one percent from April. Year-to-year, power wire and cable (+14.3%) and telephone equipment (+11.9%) showed double-digit increases. Motors (+7.8%) and generators (+6.1%) also showed notable YTY increases.
