GE Supply, Shelton, Conn., will restructure its Arizona operations over the next few months.
Presco (a GE Supply Affiliate Co.) will become “GE Presco,” and will focus on electrical contractor customers throughout Ariziona.
Under the new arrangement, GE Presco, headquartered in Gilbert, Ariz., will serve electrical contractors exclusively through its six branches in Arizona. GE Supply will continue to serve commercial and industrial customers from its Phoenix base.
GE Supply purchased the Presco operation in July 1998. GE Supply and Presco became one business following the 1998 acquisition, operating with a single manager and separate sales forces in each location.
According to Jeff Stroin, GE Supply vice president of sales, Western operations, GE Supply and GE Presco, “Both businesses will benefit from additional investment in each as a consequence of this change. Our valued customers and suppliers will also benefit from the positive synergies it creates, as well as from Presco's broad and strong market presence in Arizona.”
