IDEA to help manufacturers fill out product attribute schema

IDEA, Arlington, Va., launched a new Attribute Fulfillment Service (AFS) to help manufacturers with the work involved in populating standardized product marketing content into IDEA's Industry Data Warehouse (IDW). The IDW provides a centralized location for manufacturers to synchronize product information electronically with their trading partners. Trial projects showed that AFS outsourcing helps manufacturers populate the IDW with marketing content in half the time and one-third the price compared to using internal resources, IDEA said. The new service, offered in partnership with data service provider DATAgility, includes populating the attributes defined in the IDW's Electrical Attribute Schema.
