June Electrical Price Index YOY Data Runs Hot at +6.5%
The EPI's month-to-month pricing data didn't come in with any major surprises, but the YOY increases in prices for wire and cable and some other products continue to shock the market.

Increases in EM's Electrical Price Index (EPI) over June 2025 data stood out, with 13 product categories over +13% year-over-year (YOY), and eight categories sitting over the EPI Total Index's +6.5% YOY mark. Power Wire & Cable (+22.3%) and Building Wire & Cable (+15.6%) logged the biggest increases. On a monthly basis, Power Wire & Cable +1.7%); Boxes (+1.6%); and Wiring Devices & Connectors (+1.5%) were in the lead position.
