August EPI Declines -0.3% After Hot July

After registering a July 2025 reading of +1.1% month-to-month that was well over the historical monthly average of +0.2%, the Total Index for Electrical Marketing's Electrical Price Index  (EPI) dropped back -0.3% to 221.3 points. Building Wire & Cable (-3.1%); Generators (-2.5%); Switchgear (-1.8%); and Panelboards & Switches (-1.5%) had the largest declines, while Motors (+3.5%) came in with a large increase.
