Electrical Contractor Sales Potential by State: June 2013 data

Aug. 9, 2013
These electrical contractor sales potential estimates are based on the data collected annually for Electrical Wholesaling’s Market Planning Guide and our analysis of employment data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Over the past decade, electrical contractor employment has averaged 13% of total construction employment. We multiplied that figure by the construction employment numbers for each state shown here in the chart by the sales-per-employee multiplier for electrical contractors ($46,585) to come up with a sales potential.
