GE's Minnesota service centers now supporting more than 1,000 windmills

GE Energy's wind turbine service facility in Pipestone, Minn., services an installed base of 573 GE 1.5 megawatt (MW) wind turbines, while the company's center in Albert Lea, Minn., supports an installed base of 507 wind turbine generators. GE also plans to open a service center in Iowa, which will provide support to 571 1.5-MW wind turbines in the area. The company also operates a wind turbine service center in Sweetwater, Texas.
