The outlook held steady in July, as the Future Conditions component registered 73.9 points compared to June’s 76.3 points, remaining solidly above the expansionary threshold. Looking ahead six months, 61% of respondents expected conditions to be “better,” 13% anticipated conditions would be “worse” and 26% reported conditions would likely remain unchanged. Respondents generally anticipated conditions to remain favorable, supported by continued data center, energy, infrastructure, and grid-related demand, though trade policy uncertainty, inflation, interest rates and geopolitical risks remained key concerns.
