New officers at the North Central Electrical Manufacturers Club, new regional sales managers at Wheatland Tube and NICOR Lighting, a new CFO for Ideal Industries and David Gabriel of Sonepar joins the board at KapStone Paper and Packaging.

North Central Electrical Manufacturers Club ( (Bloomington, Minn.): Scott Vergin, vice president, Energy Product Sales, Vadnais Heights, Minn., is now serving a one-year term as the club’s president for 2013-2014. He succeeds Jim Grahek, field sales rep, Burndy, Plymouth, Minn. Other officers and directors serving for 2013 are: (vice president) Kurt Eismann, AJB Sales, Minneapolis; (secretary) Jay Scott, Grissinger-Johnson Sales, Minneapolis; and (treasurer) Kyle Brendefur, LESCO Inc., Minneapolis. New directors are Stephanie Baudhuin, Brady Corp., Lakeville, Minn.; Pam Bednarz, Siemens Industry, Minnetonka, Minn. Continuing directors are Gary Shantz, Ideal Industries, Minneapolis; Nate Varner, LESCO; Larry Benner, Rouzer Group, New Hope, Minn.; and Scott St. Marie, R.L. Mlazgar Associates, Eden Prairie, Minn. The club and its affiliate organization, the North Central Electrical League (NCEL), co-sponsor the Upper Midwest Electrical Expo, which will be held April 16-17, 2014, in Minneapolis.

Wheatland Tube (Sharon, Pa.): Dennis Fowler was named Southeast regional sales manager, Electrical Division. He has more than 25 years of industry experience and most recently worked for Cooper Wiring Devices. At Wheatland he will be managing a network of sales agents and working closely with key accounts throughout the Southeast. Fowler will be based out of South Carolina.

KapStone Paper and Packaging Corp. (Northbrook, Ill): The company’s board of directors recently elected David Gabriel, president and CEO of Sonepar North America, as a director of the company. He was elected as a Class A director and has a term expiring in 2016. Gabriel has held his current position at Sonepar since Sept. 2009. From May 2003 through Aug. 2009, he served as president and CEO of Hagemeyer North America. Prior to 2003, he served as senior V.P. / general manager of Tenneco Automotive’s North American aftermarket business. Gabriel earned a bachelor of science in packaging engineering from Michigan State University.

NICOR (Albuquerque, N.M.): John Dibble has joined NICOR as Western regional sales manager. He comes to the company with 15 years’ experience in the western United States electrical market as an outside sales rep and a branch manager for an electrical distributor.

Ideal Industries (Sycamore, Ill.): Carmelle Giblin is the company’s new chief financial officer. Giblin assumes this role from Jim Pfotenhauer, who will stay as vice president of finance, secretary and treasurer. Giblin was most recently vice president and general manager at Kester, an Illinois Tool Works (ITW) business. She became a group controller with ITW in 1999.
