Electrical People: MacArthur steps down at Penton

Bob MacArthur, president of Penton Media’s Industry Group and a long-time leader and friend of this publication, is retiring on May 15 after 25 years in the publishing industry.

Electrical Wholesaling magazine (Overland Park, Kan.): Bob MacArthur, president of Penton Media’s Industry Group and a long-time leader and friend of this publication, is retiring on May 15 after 25 years in the publishing industry. He joined the company (then known as Intertec Publishing) in 1990 as advertising sales manager in the electrical group and was promoted to associate publisher, publisher, vice president  and senior vice president before recently attaining his current position.

Border States Electric (BSE) (Fargo, N.D.): The company  has promoted Marti Jensen to human resources employee relations/recruiting manager. Jensen joined Border States in 2008 and was the human resources employee relations supervisor prior to this promotion. She will oversee employee relations, pre-employment and recruiting.

In other news at BSE, the company has promoted Tammy Korkowski to IT project management office (PMO) manager. She joined BSE in 2013 and was the IT project management supervisor prior to this promotion. In this new role she will manage the IT project management office and continue to advance project management capabilities.

Burndy (Manchester, N.H.): Steven Clark was recently promoted to West Central regional sales manager. Clark will report to Warren Jenkins, V.P sales and marketing and lead the newly formed West Central Sales region, which includes Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. he will lead both the C&I and Utility sales force. Most recently he was a senior sales rep covering the utility market in Kansas and Missouri. The 20-year company veteran holds a BS in business administration from Emporia State University.

ILSCO (Cincinnati): The company has hired Tina Hunter as a product manager. She has experience as a product manager in the industrial fluids industry and is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio.

Universal Lighting Technologies Inc. (Nashville, Tenn.): Corinne Wilder was promoted to director of sign channel development. She will oversee sales and product direction for Universal’s Signa sign channel while providing support to sign agents, sign distributors and sign customers. Her promotion helps to further align company growth strategies as Universal broadens its Everline LED drivers, modules and fixtures business in all channels.

She has  nearly seven years at Universal, and will manage  growth and market development of the Signa sign product families. Her new role will position her alongside Tim James, a sign channel inside sales specialist.
