Klein Tools introduces their line of cooling products designed to help reduce and manage heat stress. The products include cooling towels and a cooling bandana, both featuring PVA cooling technology to retain moisture and stay cooler than the surrounding air. Once wet, they activate in under a minute and can stay cool for hours.
Remote Switch Actuator
The RSA-97B remote actuator from CBS ArcSafe works with the Square D Model 4 motor control center (MCC). The portable device allows technicians to remotely close or trip the MCC from a safe distance of up to 300-ft while stationed outside of the arc-flash boundary using a radio remote. Additional features include 24V DC LED light, a wireless video camera system with an LCD monitor, and a protective case, while also meeting the NFPA 70E arc-flash compliance standards.
RACO’s Shield-IT connector, designed for MC-PCS wires, maintains the insulation between 16AWG solid copper control conductors and the power and lighting conductors inside electrical boxes or enclosures. The push-in design allows contractors to strip the Class 2 wires, push them in, and click to close the shields without twisting, crimping or taping wires. The product comes in a two-pair, three-pair or four-pair option, and are rated for up to 600V and 105°C, with a focused use on smart building installations.
The U-Phase wire marker is a new way to mark wires without the usual color-coded tape. The U-shaped brush fits around the wire, while a valve activated tip keeps paint fresh. The markers can be used on wires ranging from 0°F to 110°F. Other benefits include up to 675-ft of use versus standard 66-ft from a roll of vinyl tape; quick-drying permanent paint that marks up to #6 AWG wires; abrasion, moisture, dirt, oil and UV light resistance; and availability in industry standard colors such as red, black, white and green.
The M12 and M18 cable strippers from Milwaukee Tool are designed to minimize knife injuries while on the job. They have a right-angle design, adjustable internal depth gauge, compact size and no exposed blades. They can be paired with any of the company’s quick-change bushings, as well, and are sold in a variety of packages.
The PoE+ 10Gig Shielded RJ45 Field Plug optimizes data throughput to PoE+ powered devices and is compatible with a wide assortment of large cables with large conductors. The cast-metal shell provides end-to end shielding from extraneous noise interference in high bandwidth applications.
The Greenlite G2 Smart Thermostat, produced in cooperation with Johnson Controls Inc., offers energy-saving features such as Home & Away Aware technology that operates through cloud-based geofencing to automatically adjust temperatures to consumers’ preferred settings once they enter their home radius. Additionally, Greenlite’s G2 Smart Thermostats are quick to install, demand response capable, and are compatible with Smart Home voice assistants Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.

Temporary Markers and Signs
The new punch list markers and temporary signs, two identification products, use a temporary adhesive to bond to walls and most other surfaces, staying in place up to 90 days outdoors, with damage-free removal. The punch list markers come in a pocket-sized book, with each yellow marker measuring 2-in. by 1-in. and can be applied to almost any surface. They are prenumbered 1 to 48, enabling easy task tracking by contractors. The temporary signs are 8.5-in. by 11-in., with an option to split each on into two 8.8-in. by 5.5-in. signs. Features include a water and chemical resistant surface with the ability to be printed with a standard inkjet or laser printer. Both a thin strip or the entire backing can be removed to reveal the adhesive.
Remke Industries has released a new line of Cat6A M12 and RJ45 ethernet connectors that require no special tools for assembly. They’re designed for data centers, industrial/manufacturing automation cabling, institutional applications, office networks and PoE+ applications. The connectors have a die-cast, nickel-plated zinc body with a high temperature rating and are rust, abrasion and corrosion-resistant. Other features include 360 shielding; a long-release latch; four-changer wire manager; insulation piercing contacts; EN 60603-7-51 standardized plug interface; protective cap; standard IP20 rating with option sealed housing; and PoE+ capabilities.
Milwaukee’s newest category of heated gear, the M12 heated AXIS layering system, is designed to withstand heavy snow and rain conditions. The M12 heated AXIS jacket is the primary source of heat and can be complemented by either the HYDROBREAK rain shell or GRIDIRON work shell. The rain shell offers complete waterproof protection, while the work shell offers 60G insulation in the body and 40G throughout the sleeves. Each piece of the layering system has pass-thru access to heat controls on both outer layers and have three heat settings.
