US Electrical Supply (USESI), Exton, Pa., has acquired Pioneer Electric Supply, Beltsville, Md., which will become part of that company’s Electrical Wholesalers business.

Pioneer has been supplying the needs of electrical contractors in greater Washington, D.C., for about 16 years. Founded by Jeff Bacon in 1991, the company has grown steadily over the years with a firm focus on large and small new construction and renovation projects. Pioneer will join four other area Electrical Wholesalers locations which have helped make USESI the area’s fastest-growing electrical supply house.

“By joining Electrical Wholesalers, we are able to complement our strong project job capabilities with EW’s impressive warehousing and logistics capabilities. Our customers and employees both benefit in a big way,” said Jeff Bacon, who along with all Pioneer employees, will remain with the business.

John Marshall, president, USESI DC Metro Region, said, “By leveraging our brand new 50,000 square foot distribution center in Capital Heights, we will still focus on what Pioneer has always done well while also turning the Beltsville location into a full line supply location.”
