EYE Lighting International (Mentor, Ohio): Robert Freitag has been appointed V.P. of marketing. He joins EYE from Philips Day-Brite, where he most recently served as product manager for Philips Capri

EYE Lighting International (Mentor, Ohio): Robert Freitag has been appointed V.P. of marketing. He joins EYE from Philips Day-Brite, where he most recently served as product manager for Philips Capri. Prior to his experience with Philips, Freitag also held several marketing positions with Cooper Lighting, including manager for HID and fiber-optic product lines. He holds a BS degree in industrial design from Kent State University.

United Electric Supply Co. (New Castle, Del.): Joseph Safferis now V.P. of sales for Maryland-D.C.-Virginia. He joined United in Dec. 2009 and has held senior sales management positions with Summit Electric Supply, World Electric Supply (Sonepar), Hughes Supply and Graybar Electric. Saffer earned a B.S. degree in political science and psychology from Jacksonville University.

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Sunnyvale, Calif.): As of Oct. 1, Aldo Kamper is succeeding Dr. Rüdiger Müller who, after heading the optoelectronic semiconductor business for 22 years at OSRAM and formerly at Siemens, is retiring. Kamper started his professional career at OSRAM in 1994 and between 1999 and 2006 held executive positions at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in the fields of automotive and visible LEDs. Since 2006, he has held the post of executive V.P. and general manager, Specialty Lighting at OSRAM Sylvania in the U.S.

Westinghouse Lighting Corp. (Philadelphia): John Broughtonhas been appointed national utility program manager. He comes to Westinghouse with more than 10 years of experience in the utility arena and has worked directly with D&R International, the Department of Energy and MaxLight. Broughton will be responsible for administering and promoting utility incentive programs with Westinghouse Lighting’s customer base in retail, commercial and industrial channels.

Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn.): Hubbell’s board of directors has elected Neal Keating as a director of the company. Keating is chairman, president and CEO of Kaman Corp., Bloomfield, Conn. Prior to joining Kaman, Keating was chief operating officer of Hughes Supply and before that he was managing director and chief executive officer at GKN Aerospace and served as an executive director on the board of directors of GKN, Plc and on the board of directors of Agusta-Westland.

Horizon Lighting & Energy Services (HLES) Quincy, Mass.: Jenifer Parke is now part of Horizon Solutions’ Lighting and Energy Services team as business development manager in upstate New York. She has an extensive background in the lighting and energy-efficiency business, and will work with new and existing customers to design and implement energy-efficient systems that will generate the greatest return on investment for customers’ efficiency projects. She will work in the company’s Rochester, N.Y., office.

MaxLite (West Caldwell, N.J.): Heather Vail is the company’s new residential utility program coordinator. She worked the past six years at Lockheed Martin managing implementation of utility programs throughout New England and will now be responsible for MaxLite’s participation in residential efficient lighting programs across the United States.

Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis): David Benderwill be the company’s district V.P. for Seattle regional operations effective Nov. 1. Bender will replace Ken Sparks, who will be retiring after 42 years with the company. Bender started his career with Graybar in 1988 and has served in a broad range of sales and management roles, most recently as director of comm/data sales in the company’s California district. He holds a B.S. in business administration from West Virginia University.

Fulham Co. Inc. (Hawthorne, Calif.): The company recently appointed Mark Hoodas OEM sales manager for the South Central region. Hood will be responsible for managing Fulham’s OEM business in Texas, Arizona, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona and a portion of California. He has more than 19 years of experience in lighting, most recently as national accounts manager for Robertson Worldwide.

Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. (Melville, N.Y.): Gino Dabbiccohas been appointed North East regional sales manager for Leviton’s Distribution Sales Division; John LaMontagne is now director of specification sales for the company’s Lighting Management Systems business; and David Weigandhas been appointed Northwest regional sales manager for the Lighting Management Systems business.
