Dual-Lite, a subsidiary of Hubbell Lighting Inc. (Greenville, S.C.): Ronnie Arant has been named national brand sales manager.

Dual-Lite, a subsidiary of Hubbell Lighting Inc. (Greenville, S.C.): Ronnie Arant has been named national brand sales manager. Arant will be Dual-Lite’s primary contact with sales representative agencies, distributor customers, and the engineering and specifying community. Additionally, Arant will also assume management responsibility for Dual-Lite’s classroom and on-line training presentations. Prior to joining Dual-Lite, Arant spent approximately 13 years with GE Lighting in a variety of capacities including product line management and territory and regional sales management positions. He also served GE Lighting at a national level working closely with distributor and utility customers.

Leviton Manufacturing Co. (Little Neck, N.Y.): Ed Plaia has been appointed vice president/general manager for the company’s commercial and industrial business. Plaia will lead product management, marketing and engineering operations for the company’s commercial and industrial business, focusing on sales growth across all of the company’s market channels. Plaia joined Leviton in 1985 as manager of manufacturing technology and was promoted to director of manufacturing technology and assistant vice president of manufacturing engineering. He also managed manufacturing operations and worked as plant manager/general manager and vice president/general manager for Leviton’s El Paso, Texas, operations. In 2000, he was appointed vice president, manufacturing at the company’s corporate headquarters.

Dakota Supply Group (Fargo, N.D.): Following CEO Ben Herr’s retirement this month, Todd Kumm has been appointed by the board of directors as the new CEO and Tom Rosendahl will serve as the new president. Kumm most recently served as chief financial officer and Rosendahl served as senior vice president, director of sales and marketing. Herr joined the Dakota Supply Group in 1972 and served as CEO since 1991. He will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors until 2010. Herr also served on the board of directors of the National Association of Electrical Distributors from 1999-2004.

Salisbury Electrical Safety LLC (Skokie, Ill.): Ken Martell has been promoted to president of Salisbury Electrical Safety. Martell joined Salisbury in 1999, and has been instrumental in updating and expanding plant facilities, tremendously increasing productivity. Jeff Morris has been promoted to vice president and general manager. Morris also joined Salisbury in 1999. During this time he has expanded the company from one that serves only utilities to a company that provides electrical safety to all industries. Martell and Morris together brought the company’s sales from $40 million in 1999 to approximately $100 million this year. Jerry Olson has joined the company as vice president of sales and marketing. For the past 17 years, Olson has been with Burmeister Electric in Minneapolis, Minn., where he was vice president. He has also worked for General Electric and Westinghouse.

Columbia Electric Supply Inc. (Brockton, Mass.): Alan MacIsaac of Newburyport has been promoted to the position of director of the commercial projects department. In this expanded role, MacIsaac, who has been with Columbia Electric for several years, will be responsible for strategic planning and forecasting, employee oversight, vendor and customer development. Prior to joining Columbia Electric, MacIsaac was employed at the Square D Co.

Robroy Industries Conduit Division (Gilmer, Texas) The conduit division of Robroy Industries recently added Ranita Patel to the marketing team as a marketing assistant. Prior to joining Robroy Conduit Division, Patel was a media sssistant and account coordinator for Edwards & McCaslin, a financial, realty and homebuilder marketing/advertising agency in California. Patel also worked for Ford Motor Co., customer service division, San Francisco region, where she was a zone manager.
