Thomas & Betts Corp. (Memphis): E.F. (Ned) Camuti has joined the company as president of its U.S. electrical business

Thomas & Betts Corp. (Memphis): E.F. (Ned) Camuti has joined the company as president of its U.S. electrical business. He succeeds Christopher P. Hartmann, who was promoted to chief operating officer in October 2006. Camuti will report to Hartmann and will have overall responsibility for the company’s electrical products marketing, sales, operations, customer service, logistics, finance and human resources in the United States. Camuti joins Thomas & Betts from Ideal Industries, where he was vice president and general manager of the company’s connector division.

Solon Manufacturing Co. (Chardon, Ohio): J. Timothy Dunn has been promoted to president; George P. Davet has been promoted to vice president/chief engineer; and Perry Blossom to vice president/treasurer. Dunn succeeds David J. Carpenter, who has been with the firm since 1960. Carpenter will remain as chairman of the board. Dunn began his career at Solon Manufacturing Co. in 1978. He was most recently vice president. Davet has been with Solon Manufacturing Co. since 1993. He holds the position of chief engineer for the Industrial Controls and Belleville Springs divisions. Perry Blossom came to Solon Manufacturing Co. in 1993 and holds the position of corporate treasurer and manager of the Belleville Springs division

Schaedler Yesco Distribution Inc. (Harrisburg, Pa.): John Polites has been
appointed director of contractor sales. Polites, a former industrial automation engineer, has additional responsibilities that include the overall planning and direction of the contractor businesses, plus growth of sales in the HVAC and water treatment markets in Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, State College, Williamsport and Chambersburg, Pa., geographies. Doug Sheaffer, former director of contractor/commercial sales, now has responsibility for the planning and direction of the commercial and government markets. Additionally, he will manage the outside sales teams in the Williamsport and State College, Pa., geographies.

Border States (Fargo, N.D.): Ken Rowland has been appointed Northeast region manager and to the company’s executive council. Rowland began with Border States as an account manager in July 1992. He served as Northeast region business development manager before being named Northeast region manager. Rowland has general management responsibilities for 15 branch locations in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Before joining Border States, Rowland was the corporate sales and marketing manager for Ryall Electric Supply.

Columbia Electric Supply Inc. (Brockton, Mass.): Brendan McMullin has joined the company’s business development/switch gear sales division. McMullin is responsible for expanding large construction project sales at the wholesale electrical supply distributor. McMullin previously worked at Square D Co. in Canton, Mass.
