Leviton Manufacturing, Little Neck, N.Y., has entered into an exclusive license agreement with Cheetah USA Corp. The agreement allows Leviton to capitalize on Cheetah's technology, including the Cheetah Speed System that can reduce electrical installation labor costs by more than 40 percent.

The Cheetah Speed System consists of wall plates and electrical devices that come preassembled with speed anchors that slide into polycarbonate outlet boxes for fast installation in new home construction.

Cheetah products complement Leviton's line of switches, receptacles and wiring devices. "We are very excited to have access to Cheetah's technology and look forward to growing the business," said Bob Becker, vice president and general manager of Leviton's Residential Business Unit. "Our customers will benefit from a system that increases efficiency at a time when working faster and smarter is economically critical. It will give electricians and builders of multi- and single-family housing, hotels and government projects the edge they need in today's tough market."

"Leviton is well-positioned to fully maximize and expand the Cheetah system," said Dave Clare, president of Cheetah USA. "We feel this relationship will deliver significant value to our customers and establish a new standard in laborsaving solutions."
