LEDVANCE (Wilmington, Mass.):Matt McCarron was promoted to V.P. of the company’s Industrial Commercial Channel for the United States and Canada, filling the role held by Mark Corcoran who retired this year but is acting as senior advisor for the trade channel over the coming months.  McCarron has been with Osram Sylvania for over 20 years, most recently, as V.P. of retail sales.

“Even though we are happy that Mark Corcoran is starting a new chapter in his life after his long and distinguished career, his leadership and experience will be greatly missed.  We are fortunate to have a succession plan in place with Matt McCarron taking over this vital part of our business,” said Erol Kirilmaz, chief sales and marketing officer of LEDVANCE.  “Matt and Mark have worked together for several years, and given Matt’s knowledge of the business, the move made perfect sense.”

“The lighting industry, like our company, is transforming.  I’ve met with many customers since taking over and have enjoyed discussing our strategic direction and their thoughts on how we work together in the future,” said McCarron.  “Despite all the changes internally, I see these as largely transparent to our North American customers who can continue to count on our focus on service, quality and most importantly the Sylvania brand.”

LEDVANCE GmbH is a fully-owned subsidiary of Osram GmbH and offers Sylvania advanced LED lamps as well as a wide range of traditional light sources, standardized luminaires and connected lighting solutions.  The company is active in more than 120 countries and has approximately 9,000 employees. The general lighting lamps business amounted to around 40% of Osram revenues, or approximately $2.35 billion.
