Offshore Solar Farm Planned for the Netherlands

Feb. 17, 2018
This one was new to us -- a floating solar farm nine miles off the coast of Holland.

According to a report in Maritime Executive, plans are underway for an offshore floating solar farm. “The project is expected to take three years, and the prototype, to be located around 15 kilometers (nine miles) off the coast near The Hague, is expected to have a 15% higher power yield than land-based photovoltaic solar arrays,” said the report.
