Harding takes on biz dev in Southwest for BSE; Garza to lead product marketing at Maxlite; and more.

Faith Technologies (Minneapolis): This electrical contractor recently named Gary Blix a senior project manager for the Minneapolis branch. In this role Blix will manage electrical construction projects, generate new business and oversee staff members. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the electrical construction industry and received his education from Dunwoody Technical Institute, where he majored in electrical construction and maintenance. Blix previously held roles as service manager, estimator and project manager, where he was responsible for managing projects in several markets, including commercial, industrial, and health care.

Border States Electric (BSE) (Fargo, N.D.): Victor Harding has joined BSE as the company’s Southwest region business development manager. Harding worked at BSE’s Phoenix branch in 1996 as an industrial automation specialist. In 1997, he worked for Glenmount Global Solutions in Boston, Mass. Most recently he worked at ABB Inc. in Phoenix, where he held two positions simultaneously as an alliance account manager, and account manager and distribution equipment manufacturers (DEM) sales for the west region.

In other news at BSE, Frank Casas has been named branch manager for the company’s Hobbs, N.M., branch. Casas joined BSE in 2006 when the company acquired Nunn Electric Supply. He has held several positions at the company’s Lubbock, Texas, branch located at 5902 Spur 327, including warehouse associate and city desk representative. He was most recently the branch operations supervisor.

Newell Rubbermaid (Atlanta): As part of a major restructuring of the company’s senior management team, Bill Burke was appointed to COO. In his new role, Burke will drive the “Delivery” pillar of the organization, which comprises the company’s operating business segments as well as customer development and supply chain teams.

In his previous role as group president, he led and repositioned the Lenox brand to deliver double-digit sales growth and headed the company’s professional businesses to accelerated international expansion. Burke’s businesses have been the most significant contributors to company growth over the last few years. He will continue to report to Michael Polk, Newell Rubbermaid’s president and CEO.

Maxlite (West Caldwell, N.J.): Francisco Garza is now product marketing manager and is reporting to Pat Treadway, director of product marketing. His experience in the lighting industry includes various product management, sales and application engineering roles for Philips-Crescent/Stonco Lighting. Garza holds a M.S. in lighting from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
