The latest roundup includes new presidents for LumenOptix and Robroy's Conduit Division, new regional sales manager for Lighting Services, Kennametal's chair joining Hubbell's board, and more.

Robroy Industries (Verona, Pa.): Steve Voelzke has been promoted to president of the Robroy Conduit Division from general manager. He will report directly to David Marshall, president and COO of Robroy Industries. Voelzke had been a business partner of the Robroy Conduit Division for more than 17 years prior to joining the organization in 2012 from his position as senior V.P. of automation and information systems at Glenmount Global Solutions.

Lighting Services Inc. (Stony Point, N.Y.):  Brian Keilt has joined the company’s sales team as the regional sales manager for the eastern United States and eastern Canada. He brings over 23 years of experience and has worked in several different sales positions, including regional sales manager and specification sales manager.  At LSI he will manage and support the representative network through product training and work closely with the design and specification community.

KNIPEX Tools LP (Arlington Heights, Ill.): Beverly Richards has joined the company as marketing manager of its North American sales operations. She has more than 12 years of global marketing experience. Her previous work experience includes five years at Klein Tools, where she was retail channel marketing manager.

Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn.): Carlos Cardoso, Kennametal Inc.’s chairman, president and CEO, has been elected to serve on the company’s board of directors. He also serves as chairman of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, as well as on several other boards, including  the National Association of Manufacturers and Stanley Black & Decker.

Kelly Generator & Equipment of Pennsylvania and West Virginia Inc. (KGE) (Owings, Md.): Ron Hartzel has joined Kelly as branch manager and Mel Goldsmith is the new director of product support. Prior to joining KGE, Hartzel had over 18 years of experience with Eaton in various engineering and management assignments. Prior to Eaton, he worked for New England Electric in Westboro, Mass., for eight years as a substation engineer and project engineer.

Goldsmith has over 30 years of experience in sales and operations with Ingersoll Rand, and distributors of MTU, Detroit Diesel, Allison, Freightliner and Caterpillar products.  In other news at Kelly Generator & Equipment, Inc. the factory-authorized dealer for Generac Power Systems in the Mid Atlantic since 1992, recently announced its expansion into western Pennsylvania with an office in Butler, Pa., and another location opening in Clarksburg, W. Va.

LumenOptix (Montgomeryville, Pa.):  Larry Schmidt has been appointed as president and CEO, and company founder Jay Goodman is now managing the New Business Development division. Schmidt was previously sales and marketing
director.

Electro-Mechanical Corp. (Bristol, Va.): Dave Mayrand has joined the company as Northwestern regional sales manager and will be responsible for selling all medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, and custom gear manufactured and sold under the Federal Pacific, Line Power and  Line Power Custom Solutions brand names. He brings more than 25 years of electrical industry experience, worked most recently for Rexel, and graduated with a marketing degree from Northern Michigan University.

Honeywell (Northford, Conn.): Gary Lederer will lead Honeywell Life Safety (HLS) – Fire Solutions Americas and oversee Fire Systems and System Sensor, both part of the Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions’ Life Safety business. He will report to Honeywell Life Safety President Mark Levy. Under Lederer, Todd Rief will lead Honeywell Fire Systems Americas and Tom Potosnak will continue to lead System Sensor Americas.

Lederer joined Honeywell in 2000 with the acquisition of the Pittway Corp. He has held leadership positions at System Sensor and Honeywell Environmental and Combustion Controls and, most recently, led the HLS Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Fire Systems business. Rief began his career with Honeywell in 2007 and was most recently vice president of operations for Honeywell Fire Systems Americas. Potosnak joined System Sensor in 1998 and has led System Sensor Americas for the past four years.

Allen Fritts, who served as president for Honeywell Fire Systems Americas, and John Hakanson, who served as president of Honeywell Sensing and Devices under which System Sensor currently operates, are retiring and will assist with the transition though May 2013.
