Electrical People: New appointments at Appleton and Warshauer and more

McCormack will be responsible for Appleton Group’s strategic planning and global growth programs including strategic portfolio reviews, growth and enabling processes, and the prioritization of key growth initiatives.

Appleton Group (Rosemont, Ill.):  Mike McCormack has been promoted to director of business development and Zach Gustafson has been named sales strategy manager. Both will report to Dan Douglass, V.P. of business development.

McCormack will be responsible for Appleton Group’s strategic planning and global growth programs including strategic portfolio reviews, growth and enabling processes, and the prioritization of key growth initiatives. Since joining He has an MBA from The Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.

Gustafson will expand his current responsibilities for customer development and CRM to the broader sales strategies of the organization including project pursuit, pipeline management and sales administration. He joined Appleton Group in 2011 as part of the customer service organization and has an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and is currently pursuing an MBA at The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

IEWC (Milwaukee): Shawn Snowden is now  business unit director for IEWC’s North Region within the OEM North American division. Most recently, Snowden worked for Generac Power Systems where he served as senior director of wholesale channels. His responsibilities included directing the North American electrical and HVAC distribution network and development operations.

Snowden is a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of Upper Iowa University. IEWC provides connectivity solutions for sub-assemblers, OEMs and the broadcast and communications industries.

Warshauer Electric Supply (Tinton Falls, N.J.): David Buckley has joined the company as an outside salesperson. He will call on electrical contractors, HVAC contractors, and general contractors in New Jersey, but his main focus will be calling on customers that utilize the Government Services Administration (GSA) and New Jersey state contracts, including federal buildings, military bases, federal agencies, local municipalities, municipal utility authorities (MUAs) and boards of education.

Jim Dunn, executive V.P., said, “Having an active N.J. state contract, as well as a five-year GSA award, we felt we needed to dedicate a full-time outside head count to insure we had maximum market penetration that comes along with these unique opportunities on both the state and federal levels.”

Buckley is a graduate of Bentley University, where he has a B.A. in business management. Most recently he worked as the national director of field marketing for Tessemae’s. He also spent time as a trader for Walleye Trading in both New York and Chicago.
