Electrical People: Buelow to lead Milbank sales and marketing

Also promotions and new appointments at NAED, Killark and DISC.

Milbank Manufacturing (Kansas City, Mo.): Chris Buelow has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing. He will lead the sales and marketing teams in growing market share and increasing profitability for all Milbank products, and work to expand Milbank’s footprint in new and existing sales channels.  Previously serving as director of sales, he brought several products to market such as Milbank’s automatic and manual transfer switches, and developed strong relationships with key partner companies. Buelow holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Baker University.

National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) (St. Louis):  Greg Smith, executive V.P. for Quincy, Mass.-based Granite City Electric Supply Co., is the incoming vice president-elect of NAED’s Eastern Region. He has been in the industry 30 years and has served on NAED’s Eastern Region Council several times. As an NAED regional vice president-elect, Smith will serve on the NAED Board of Directors, help lead the region’s conferences, council meetings, and other events. Jeff Van Zandt, CEO of Tri State Supply Co., currently directs the Eastern Region Council.

Killark Division/Hubbell (St. Louis, Mo.): Matthew Gravette is now Western regional manager for Killark Electric and will manage the company’s sales force in the Western Region. He reports to Brent Birchler, V.P. of sales for Killark and Hawke.  Gravette comes to Hubbell from Rexel where he was a branch manager. He was previously a product manager with Walters Wholesale. Gravette has a BA in communications from the University of California, Davis.

DISC (Distributor Information Services Corp.) (Orange, CT): Gil Isenstein and Rebecca Drew have been appointed to chief marketing officer and COO, respectively. DISC Founder and President Herm Isenstein will continue to serve in his current role as the company’s chief executive.

Gil Isenstein, who has served as the company’s V.P. of marketing  communications since 2014, will now oversee all of DISC’S marketing, communications and client service functions. Prior to his tenure with DISC Corp., Gil served as the senior PR manager for Fidelity Investments. Rebecca Drew, who will run all of DISC’s technical and operational functions, brings a wealth of business and financial management experience to her role. A MBA recipient from Columbia Business School, Rebecca has held various financial and analytical positions at Wall Street firms including Credit Suisse and a multi-credit driven strategy hedge fund, Ore Hill Partners.
