Southwire opens Energy Center to focus on substation solutions

Wire giant Southwire, Carrollton, Ga., opened a new Southwire Energy Center at its Villa Rica, Ga., plant where the company will develop components and products for smart grids and renewable energy products and expand the company’s cable technology and solutions for substations.
