At its annual reception at the NAED Annual Meeting in San Francisco last week, Robroy Industries invited attendees to meet the best of the new generation of “Extraordinary” heroes. Since Vietnam, only six men have received the Medal of Honor. Two of the recipients, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Salvatore A. Giunta and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Ty M. Carter, joined Robroy Industries for the event.

Carter distinguished himself by acts of gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving as a Scout with Bravo Troop, 3d Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, during combat operations against an armed enemy in Kamdesh District, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan on Oct. 3, 2009.
