Charley Cohon, Prime Devices Corp., Glenview, Ill., won Electrical Wholesaling’s 2012 GEM Award for Independent Manufacturers Reps and Kristina Steiger, Schaeffer Marketing Group, won the 2012 GEM Rising Star Award.
Tom Sabin recently celebrated 30 years with the A.A. MacPherson Co., Canton, Mass. He started his career at A.A. MacPherson with the inside sales team, working his way up to vice president and to his current position today as president. He became one of the owners of the company with his partners, Brian Gardner and Joseph Gately, in Oct. 1998.
Myers & Associates Electrical Sales (Norman, Okla.): Clint Ragle is the new director of medium-voltage sales for Oklahoma. He will direct all agency efforts for the industrial division of Copper Power Systems, DSG Canusa, Olsun Electrics and Pencell Plastics. Specific product responsibility includes medium-voltage transformers, switches, capacitors, terminations, and wire and cable.
General Cable, Highland Heights, Ky., named C.C. Pierce Co. Inc., Duxbury, Mass., as its 2011 Electrical Distribution Channel Agent of the Year at last week’s National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Association (NEMRA) Annual Conference, which was held in San Diego. General Cable also presented the Agent Inside Sales Associate of the Year Award and Director’s Club Agent Awards at NEMRA. Dusty Mathis of Gaynor Sales, Minneapolis, won the award for inside sales associates.
