Lindstrom named national sales manager at EPCO; Rexel hires for services; new branch managers for Border States, and more.

Engineered Products Company (EPCO) (Minneapolis): Mark Lindstrom has joined the company as national sales manager. He spent more than 13 years with manufacturers in electrical and industrial distribution channel sales, holding national sales management positions with Federal Signal, Ideal Industries, Greenlee and Edwards Signaling. He was previously district sales manager and operations manager with Frito Lay division of PepsiCo. His MBA degree is from Keller Graduate School of Management, Oak Brook, Ill. In other news at the company, Jack Schuster celebrated his 25th year with the business.

Rexel SA (Paris): With intentions of strengthening its commitment to engineering, procurement and construction clients (EPCs), Rexel has appointed Pierre Allard-Couluon as V.P. of its International Projects Group (IPG). Initially based in Shanghai, Allard-Couluon will manage Rexel’s service offering to EPCs across the globe, with a particular focus on the oil and gas, mining and power utilities markets. He will report to Mitch Williams, senior V.P. Asia Pacific. Allard-Couluon has held several senior positions in business development and sales roles focusing on the industrial as well as public sectors and brings with him extensive experience of working with EPCs.

Border States Electric (BSE) (Fargo, N.D.): Dustin Rardin has been named branch manager for BSE’s Farmington, N.M., branch. Rardin joined BSE in April 2006 as a customer service representative in the company’s Alamogordo, N.M., branch. He also held the positions of warehouse supervisor, operations supervisor and most recently branch manager.

Calpipe Industries Inc. (Downey, Calif.): Jim Johnson has been hired as V.P. of sales and marketing. He will be responsible for managing and growing the sales organization as well as continuing to drive the company’s strategic marketing initiatives. An experienced sales executive, Johnson joins the company with over 26 years of industry relevant experience in sales, marketing and business development, most recently serving as V.P. of sales and marketing for Ericson Manufacturing.

Faith Technologies (Tulsa, Okla.): This electrical contractor recently named Joseph Shemanske as project manager of its Tulsa branch. In his new role, Shemanske will manage electrical construction projects, generate new business and oversee staff members.

He was previously an electrical estimator and project manager, where he was responsible for estimating and managing projects in several markets, including educational and health care. Shemanske has more than 25 years of experience in the electrical construction industry and received his education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he majored in electrical systems and sciences engineering.

3M (St. Paul, Minn.): As part of a major realignment of its business into five business groups, (Consumer, Industrial, Health Care, Safety& Graphics, and Electronics & Energy) the company announced several executive-level personnel changes. The Electronics & Energy group will be led by Executive V.P. Mike Kelly, former head of 3M’s Display and Graphics business, and Safety & Graphics will be led by Executive V.P. Julie Bushman, former head of 3M’s Safety, Security and Protection Services business. The Industrial group, led by Executive V.P. Brad Sauer, remains unchanged, with the exception of the Renewable Energy unit moving to Electronics & Energy. The Health Care division, led by Executive V.P. Joaquin Delgado remains unchanged, as does the Consumer group, led by Executive V.P. Mike Vale. In other executive appointments at the company, Chris Holmes is named senior V.P., Corporate Supply Chain Operations, succeeding John Woodworth, who has announced his intention to retire. Holmes was formerly executive V.P. of Industrial and Transportation business.

Border States Electric (Fargo, N.D.): Shane McMenamy has been named branch manager for Border States Electric’s (BSE’s) Grand Forks, N.D., branch. McMenamy joined BSE in Sept. 2003 as a warehouse associate in the company’s Phoenix branch. Other positions he has held include warehouse manager for the Phoenix branch and customer service representative, quotations representative, project manager and operations manager for the company’s Albuquerque, N.M., location. Most recently, he was the branch manager for BSE’s Farmington, N.M., branch. McMenamy was selected as one of the first participants in BSE’s Management Trainee Program when it was launched in 2006.
