EDN Inc. and Equity Electrical Associates Inc. have jointly announced the appointment of Ted Havel as vice president of marketing.

EDN Inc. (Concord, Ohio): EDN Inc. and Equity Electrical Associates Inc. have jointly announced the appointment of Ted Havel as vice president of marketing. Havel formerly served as marketing manager for EDN. The two buying/marketing groups merged last year, but EDN and Equity maintain separate identities. Havel has more than 20 years of experience within the electrical industry.

Ideal Industries (Sycamore, Ill.): Troit Freeland has been promoted to senior manager, sales operations. Formally national accounts manager, Freeland joined Ideal in 1998 and has nearly two decades of experience in the electrical industry.

Schneider Electric North American Operating Division (Palatine, Ill.): Tom Insprucker has been named vice president of marketing. A 19-year company veteran, Insprucker most recently served as director of the industrial applications team. Nic Gihl has been named vice president of industrial automation. Gihl most recently served as president of Proface America.

Independent Electric Supply (San Carlos, Calif.): Bob Wittig has been appointed corporate information technology manager. Wittig has more than 20 years experience working with electrical distribution software helping distributors better utilize information processing technology. Prior to joining IES, Wittig worked with Tradepower Inc. as their western region manager.

WESCO International Inc. (Pittsburgh): John Engel has joined the company as senior vice president and chief operating officer. His work experience includes roles with General Electric, Allied Signal/Honeywell, PerkinElmer, and Gateway. In a separate announcement, WESCO has promoted Steve Van Oss, currently vice president and chief financial officer, to senior vice president and chief financial and administrative officer. Van Oss joined WESCO in 1997.

Everbrite Inc. (Greenfield, Wis.): Jeff Gatzow has been appointed product manager of lighting technology products. Previously, Gatzow was vice president of national accounts in Everbrite’s identity systems divisin.

Siemens AG (Munich, Germany): Heinrich von Pierer will step down in January after more than 12 years as chief executive. Von Pierer will take over as the head of the nonexecutive supervisory board after the group’s shareholder meeting. Klaus Kleinfeld, who joined Siemens in 1987, will succeed Heinrich.

FCI-Burndy Products (Manchester, N.H.): Paul Bollenbach has been named the central regional manager for the CM&R division. Bollenbach has more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry, 17 of which at FCI-Burndy Products.

MGM Transformer Co. (Commerce, Calif.): John McRee has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing. McRee brings over 30 years of industry experience to MGM, including prior assignments with LiteControl Corp., Square D and General Electric.

Ortronics (New London, Conn.): Stephen Lewis has been appointed sales manager for the south central region, which includes Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and parts of Illinois.

Infinova (Monmouth Junction, N.J.): Ray Bustamante has joined Infinova as regional sales manager for California, Arizona and Nevada.

Penn-Union (Edinboro, Pa.): Michael Adeleke has been appointed distribution center manager in Memphis, Tenn. Previously, Adeleke has held distribution management positions with HMS Host Corp., Daimler Chrysler Corp. and Snap-On Tools.

Burmeister (Minneapolis): Chad Cravens has been appointed sales manager and brings 11 years of distribution sales experience to his new role.

Luraline Products Co. (Florida): Formerly national sales manager, Kurt Mandelik has been named vice president of the company. He’s been with Luraline for 15 years.

RouteView Technologies (Minneapolis): Stacey Pandeloglou joins the sales and marketing team of RouteView Technologies, a provider of delivery management solutions geared toward the electrical distribution industry. He will be responsible for directing all sales and marketing activities related to the wholesale electrical distribution industry.
