Eaton Corp. (Cleveland): Richard D. Holder has been named president of the newly formed Electrical Components Organization reporting to Jerry Whitaker

Eaton Corp. (Cleveland): Richard D. Holder has been named president of the newly formed Electrical Components Organization reporting to Jerry Whitaker, president — Americas Region, Eaton’s Electrical Sector. He will be located at the company’s Electrical Sector headquarters in Cherrington, Penn. Holder joined Eaton in 2001 as vice president, Supply Chain and Operational Excellence in the company’s Electrical Group. He then became vice president and general manager of the group’s Power Distribution and Assemblies Division and most recently served as executive vice president — Eaton Business System.

Prior to joining Eaton, Holder was director of Aircraft and Technical Purchasing for US Airways, director of Strategic Materials for Allied Signal, and held positions of increasing responsibility in supply chain and engineering at Parker Hannifin’s aerospace division in California. He earned a B.A. in aviation management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., and a M.B.A. in business from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.

Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis): Randy Harwood was appointed to Graybar’s board of directors and Craig Mead was named district vice president for the company’s Phoenix regional operations. Both appointments resulted from the retirement of Bob Nowak, who served for more than 39 years with the company, most recently as district vice president in Phoenix. Nowak was also a member of Graybar’s board of directors.

Harwood is currently district vice president in the Dallas region. In his 31-year Graybar career, he has advanced through several financial management roles in Portland, Ore., Spokane, Wash., Phoenix, Las Vegas and Seattle before being named to his current position in 2004. Mead’s Graybar career spans 23 years, during which he managed the Albuquerque, N.M., El Paso, Texas, and Phoenix branches, and served as director of electrical sales within the Phoenix region.

Legrand/Pass & Seymour (Syracuse, N.Y.): Scott Bausch has been named director of product marketing and will lead the company’s commercial and residential product marketing sections. He joined Legrand/Pass & Seymour in 2004 as a product line manager and most recently served as the marketing manager for commercial and industrial products. Bausch earned a B.A. degree from St. John Fisher College and his MBA from Franklin University.

Power Distribution Inc. (PDI) (Richmond, Va.): As the director of business development, Martin Rogers will lead the development of PDI’s newest product offerings. His extensive experience in international markets and power distribution comes from over 15 years of progressive leadership positions with Schneider Electric. His most recent position was as director of global services and process improvement. Martin will report directly to Dave Mulholland, V.P. of marketing and service, in this newly created position. PDI designs, manufactures and distributes customized electrical equipment under the brand names PDI, Onyx, and Marelco to serve a variety of power markets.

Generation Brands/Sea Gull Lighting (Riverside, N.J.): Susan Solomon Auerbach, executive vice president/corporate development, was inducted into the American Lighting Association’s (ALA) Lighting Hall of Fame at the 2009 ALA Annual Conference. She is only the twenty-second person — and the second woman — to receive the lighting industry’s highest honor for dedication and contributions to the association and the industry. As the granddaughter of Henry Siegel, founder of Sea Gull Lighting, daughter of the late Edwin Solomon and a senior executive of Sea Gull Lighting for the past 27 years, Solomon Auerbach has dedicated most of her life to the development of high-quality lighting products that satisfy the market’s widespread tastes for fashion, flair and function.

Amerillum, (Vista, Calif.): Tom Shaffer has joined the Alumen division of Amerillum as national sales manager. He will be responsible for sales planning, forecasting and sales force management and managing the company’s national rep network. Shaffer is currently completing a B.A. in business at the University of Phoenix. In other news at the company, Roger Neff has been appointed as customer applications engineering specialist, where he will work with lighting-design specifiers to assist them in specifying modified and custom products from the company’s product lines. He is a 17-year veteran of the commercial lighting industry.
