Ideal Industries Inc. (Sycamore, Ill.): Brian Slayton has been named business unit manager for the company’s Tools and Supplies group

Ideal Industries Inc. (Sycamore, Ill.): Brian Slayton has been named business unit manager for the company’s Tools and Supplies group. With his experience in manufacturing processes, Slayton will further strengthen the unit’s leadership in professional-grade quality hand tools, tool bags and cutting accessories while targeting expansion into new product categories to serve the electrical, construction and data communications markets. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Tools and Supplies group, including oversight of Ideal’s manufacturing facility and distribution center in Sycamore and will report directly to Glenn Hollister, vice president and general manager of the Ideal Electrical Division. He comes to Ideal from the Building Components Group of ITW.

Conservation Services Group (CSG) (Westborough, Mass): Energy industry veteran Samuel Nutter was appointed as New England business development director. He will represent CSG’s interests at regulatory proceedings, advisory council meetings and other industry forums in the region.

Most recently, Nutter served as senior project manager for the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, where he led his group in the launch and development of the $68 million Commonwealth Solar Rebate Program. Nutter also directed the state’s first photovoltaic program, the “Solar-To-Market” initiative, which resulted in the installation of more than 1,000 PV projects in several Massachusetts communities.

Prior to joining the trust, Nutter held engineering and project management positions at NSTAR Electric and Gas, KeySpan Energy Delivery, The Trodella Companies, GTE Sylvania Lighting Services and Cambridge Alternative Power, Inc. He received a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.
