New faces and rising stars at Border States, Romac, National Power, Warshauer, Halco and Norwell, as well as the new board members at North Central Electrical League.

Border States Electric (Fargo, N.D.): Mark Christopher has been named branch manager for BSE’s Williston, N.D., location. Christopher joined BSE in Feb. 2011 as a quotations representative and most recently was branch manager for the company’s Grand Forks, N.D., location. He has 20 years of experience in the electrical industry, and currently holds licenses as a master electrician in North Dakota and Minnesota. Before joining BSE, he worked as an electrical contractor, systems integrator and recently managed his own electrical contracting firm in the Grand Forks area.

Romac (Commerce, Calif.): Kevin “KJ” Pietrucha has joined the sales team. Pietrucha is an electrical industry veteran with 20-plus years and brings extensive electrical product experience with him. As a young man, he followed his father, a power plant turbine builder, to New Zealand, Australia, Cape Code, Los Alamos, N.M., and Arlington, Va., before finally settling in California in 1984.

Pietrucha earned an associate degree from American River College in fire technologies before becoming a firefighter in the Sacramento area. After deciding to follow his father’s footsteps into the electrical industry, he worked for a specialty supplier of power, distribution and control apparatus in the Sacramento area. During this time, Pietrucha added ABB’s low-voltage training course and AVO certification for low-voltage circuit breaker maintenance to his resume.

National Power Corp. (NPC) (Raleigh, N.C.): Harry Bourne has joined NPC, a distributor of power systems, as project manager. He will coordinate large turn-key projects and work out of Florida to cover the Southeast region. Bourne has over 15 years of experience in providing network based solutions for cable and telephone companies with extensive background in facility automation and energy management.

Warshauer Electric Supply (Tinton Falls, N.J.): Stacey Warshauer, commercial lighting sales specialist, has passed the nationally recognized NCQLP Lighting Specialists LS-1 certification program.

North Central Electrical League (NCEL) (Bloomington, Minn.): Chuck Healy, Electrotech Inc., Minneapolis, is now NCEL chairman, succeeding Jeff Keljik, Dunwoody College of Technology, Minneapolis. Also on the NCEL board of directors are Don Paulson, Paulson & Clark Engineers, St. Paul, Minn. (vice-chair); Edward Studniski, Gausman & Moore Engineers, Roseville, Minn. (treasurer); Dale Yohnke, NCEL executive director (secretary); and Jeff Keljik (past-chair).

Halco Lighting Technologies (Norcross, Ga.): Mark Harris has been hired as OEM/utility account manager. He has more than 32 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution, including positions as a senior sales representative at Osram-Sylvania; general manager at Nova Lighting; and most recently as Southeast regional manager at Havells-SLI Lighting. In his new position, Harris will manage all OEM accounts and utility/co-op lighting sales.

Norwell Corp. (Taunton, Mass.): Gary Biarsky has been appointed Western region sales manager for this manufacturer of residential and specification-grade lighting products. Biarsky will call on lighting showrooms, architects, specifiers and interior designers to sell the company’s commercial and residential brands — ILEX Architectural Lighting, Davis Muller Lighting and Norwell Lighting. He is a graduate of Ohio State University and brings with him more than 29 years of experience in the lighting and home furnishings industries, including more than 20 years with Crystal Clear Industries and over four years with Murray Feiss Lighting, where he served as Western sales manager.
