Paragon Lighting Inc. has merged with Varon Lighting Group, Elmhurst, Ill.
Paragon Lighting Inc. was founded in 1995, in Hudson, Wis., near St. Paul, Minn. The company is a leader in high-performance retrofit linear fluorescent interior light fixtures.
“Paragon Lighting products facilitate design of illumination systems that meet or exceed standards set in the U.S. government’s Energy Policy Act of 2005, now used by most states as well as the federal government,” said Joseph Incrocci, chief executive of Varon Lighting Group. “They save energy and help building owners earn utility rebates and federal tax savings.”
Les Webster, president and a principal of Paragon Lighting, said the new Varon Lighting Group ownership interest keeps present Paragon management in place. He said the merger would facilitate future Paragon growth by opening doors to other market segments where Varon Lighting Group companies have particular expertise.
