With headquarters in Canton, Mass., Northeast Electrical continues its growth spurt. Northeast opened its 17th location earlier this year. The 12,000-square-foot facility in Charlestown, Mass., is headed by Branch Manager Aiman Varoqua.

“This location has proven to be our fastest growing start up thus far,” said Northeast President Carl Brand. “Aiman and his team are gaining market share quickly as are all of our locations.”

The distributor celebrated the Charleston location grand opening June 17. The event featured great food, give-a-ways and a special guest appearance by NFL New England Patriots tight end, Christian Fauria.

Northeast’s Advantage Vendor Partners, which include Caddy/Erico, Ideal, Lightolier, Lithonia, Lutron, Murray, Nutone, Panduit, Pass & Seymour, Raco, Sea Gull, Sepco, Siemens, Sylvania and Wiremold, supported the grand opening event.

Northeast Electrical Distributors is a Sonepar company built from the seven locations Sonepar acquired from Branch Electric in 1999. In the last five years, Northeast has grown to 17 locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. An 186,000-square-foot central distribution center with a $20 million inventory, a fleet of more than 30 delivery trucks and 99 percent fill rates provides 24-hour service to the 17 locations.
