Nexans, Paris, recently won contracts to construct Dubai's first first Extra High Voltage (EHV) underground cable system operating at 400 kV, and to supply Siemens AG with more than 99 miles of power and control cables for Petrovietnam's 750 MW Nhon Trach 2 combined cycle power plant currently under construction in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. Petrovietnam is Vietnam's largest oil and gas utility.

The Dubai turnkey contract with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is worth approximately $109.9 million and will help upgrade the power transmission infrastructure to meet the demand for electrical power created by the rapid expansion of Dubai Emirate.
