A new workbook/CD set from the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, Washington, D.C., is aimed at helping companies ask the right questions, diagnose problems and make needed repairs in the correct order. The “Toolkit” for Improved Business Performance in Wholesale Distribution” contains strategic and tactical techniques plus reference documents including detailed procedures, formulas and examples that give distributors tools they can put to use immediately. To determine issues of highest priority, users start with a questionnaire in the workbook called “My most critical needs.” Answers point to the most relevant chapter or chapters in the book and then on to related sections on the CD, which is filled with hundreds of pages of practical, useful resource material. This is “living” information, consisting of forms, spreadsheets and other documents that users can fill in with their company’s data for an accurate, real-time profile of problems and a menu of solutions. Prices are as follows: NAW Direct Member, $249; Member of NAW Member Association, $299; Non-Member, $349. NAW offers four ways to order: For more information, go to www.naw.org or call Jamie Yeh at 202-872-0885.
