Friedman Electric Acquires Robson Electric Supply

Friedman Electric, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, acquired Robson Electric Supply, a single-branch electrical distributor with a separate lighting showroom and a combined area of 20,000 square feet, located in Johnson City.

Friedman Electric, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, acquired Robson Electric Supply, a single-branch electrical distributor with a separate lighting showroom and a combined area of 20,000 square feet, located in Johnson City.

Friedman is headquartered in Exeter and operates 13 locations in northern Pennsylvania and New York. Robson Electric Supply primarily serves the commercial contractors, education and institutional markets in the southern tier of New York State.

Founded in 1972, Robson Electric Supply has 25 associates.

“The acquisition of Robson Electric fits our current market plan to expand our footprint in the Northern Pennsylvania and Southern New York regions,” said Rob Friedman, president of Friedman Electric. “Dave Perozeni and John Robilotto have built a very profitable family-owned business, whose values and culture is consistent with our own. We welcome Dave, John and his staff as the 14th location of Friedman Electric.”

Perozeni and Robilotto, previous owners of Robson Electric Supply, and their staff will remain with Friedman Electric and play an integral role in the future growth of the business. Perozeni will manage the location.
