W.W. Grainger fourth-quarter earnings up 28%
W.W. Grainger Inc., Chicago, said its fourth-quarter earnings rose 28 percent boosted by lower interest expense. Net income increased to $61.5 million, or 65 cents a share, from $47.9 million, or 51 cents, a year ago. Sales fell to $1.11 billion from $1.21 billion in the same quarter a year ago.
