Encore Wire Corp., McKinney, Texas, is partnering with Electri-Flex, Roselle, Ill., to distribute its line of reduced-wall aluminum and steel Greenfield along with UL and non-UL liquidtight conduit to complement Encore’s new MC (armored cable) line.

Daniel Jones, Encore Wire Corp.’s president and CEO, said, “This partnership with Electri-Flex further solidifies our commitment to the MC product line. Liquatite flexible conduit produced by Electri-Flex is a recognized market leader and a natural complement to our new MC product line. This agreement allows our reps to offer our customers a broad line of MC and Liquatite products along with Encore’s full line of copper electric building wire.

“Sales of this product line will be handled by our existing sales representatives to our existing customer base. We are excited at the prospect of offering our valued customers the product line and feel it further strengthens their ability to market all of Encore’s products.”

Gary Brusacoram, a principal of Andrews-Johnson-Brusacoram, a rep based in Minneapolis who represents Encore Wire Corp., said he has been waiting for an alliance like this to occur for some time.

“Frankly, it’s American industry at work,” he said. “Encore is filling a bucket that had to be filled. When you put them all together, you have a bucket of products that cover building wire, industrial liquidtight, MC cable and flexible conduit. It’s a great alliance. It’s great for distribution. It’s great for the market share for both companies and probably one of the more make-sense partnerships that we’ve seen.”

Brusacorum said there is no conflict between the companies’ product lines and he does not know of any Encore reps who carry a product line that competes with Electri-Flex.
