Dolores (Dee) Irene Menke, who was a public relations director for the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), died on Aug. 8. She was 79 years old.
Born in New York, she also lived a number of years in Ridgefield, Conn. In addition to her public relations responsibilities, Menke worked with NAED’s governmental affairs committee, arranging committee visits to Washington D.C., and meetings with members of Congress and the staff of the National Association of Wholesalers (NAW).
Menke was an avid reader and loved the arts. She is survived by a sister, Virginia M. Plouffe; a brother, Frank Menke; and friend, Edward Ingarra. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405.
