Edge Marketing and Procurement, a Houston-based buying/marketing group, is offering regional and local electronics, datacom, broadcast, security and CCTV distributors an e-marketing program that they can use to cost-effectively market their products and services directly to existing and potential customers.

The program allows members to build customized “E-flyers” around a wide range of pre-designed modules and distribute HTML- or text-based sales flyers to their customer base. Distributors in the member-owned buying/marketing group select from a library of advertisement modules that highlight products from Edge suppliers to find the promos that best target their customers and marketing focus.

With their company logo and pertinent contact and ordering information already built into the template, Edge members can then e-mail the flyer to a list of desired recipients in their database.

BTW Electronic Parts, Markham, Ontario, has used the Edge E-marketing program to cut down on the cost, time and labor they previously spent on direct marketing mailings, said Dawn Stolte, the company's vice president. “All the time and money we spent on designing, printing and mailing hard-copy fliers is condensed into a simple point-and-click function,” she said.

Ron Meyers, Edge Marketing's procurement chairman and co-founder, is excited to see the organization's membership take advantage of the program. “The E-marketing initiative provides innovative and functional tools that allow member distributors to cost-effectively conduct and expand their businesses.”
