Lighting and shade control manufacturer Lutron Electronics, Coopersburg, Pa., opened the doors to its newly redesigned experience center in Plantation, Fla. The center offers residents of South Florida and Latin America a way to experience Lutron products in a setting that closely resembles their homes and offices. The design-focused Plantation showroom showcases Lutron’s newest residential and commercial product solutions, including light, shade and temperature controls, occupancy sensors, and total light management systems.

In 2001, Lutron opened its inaugural experience center in Plantation as a way to support its South Florida and Latin America customers. Bouyed by the center’s success, within a few years Lutron opened additional experience centers in New York City; Coopersburg, Pa.; Irvine, Calif.; Washington, D.C.; and most recently, Markham, Ontario, Canada.

The experience centers also service the local professional market with training programs.

“These centers are investments that help expand the market for lighting and shade control. Our customers can bring their clients in to see the latest product innovations, like our sophisticated LED control solutions and occupancy sensors, and let them experience, first-hand, the magic of connected home control, or a wall of motorized shades raising and lowering in perfect, virtually-silent alignment. Lutron experience centers are sales tools that truly belong to our customers,” said Michael Smith, Lutron's VP of U.S. Sales.
