Former Electrical Wholesalers accountant charged with embezzling
An article in the Hartford Courant reported that a former accountant for Electrical Wholesalers, Middletown, Conn., was charged with embezzling from the company and forgery. Gale Zolla allegedly embezzled $1.6 million from the company over seven years by writing checks to fictitious companies and depositing the money in her own account. She turned herself in to Bristol police Nov. 12 when she believed her boss was beginning to suspect she was stealing from the company.
